Clearwater, FL, United States - March 13, 2019 /MarketersMedia/ —

Zing, the revolutionary new peer-to-peer drone delivery system, is live on global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.

Envision a future where the everyday drone pilot can make deliveries around their community with the same drones they have been using for photography or as a hobby. Whether it’s a cup of sugar to the neighbor down the road, a tool across the farm, a part from one factory building to another, or any number of use cases where it’s more convenient or effective to send a small item by drone. Current drones have both the physical and technological capabilities to do this but the platform to facilitate these deliveries hasn’t existed- until now.

“The inspiration for Zing came to me as I was testing the limits of my DJI Mavic Pro drone. I watched the drone travel three miles in under five minutes, it got me thinking about the possibilities,” says founder and CEO Ian Annase. “What if this specific drone, owned by a vast majority of pilots, could make small local deliveries?”

Zing is a peer-to-peer platform for the everyday drone pilot to facilitate these point-to-point deliveries using the drones they already have. The company has built a fully functional mobile app and delivery device for the world's most trusted drones- DJI’s Mavic series. Zing's app allows drones to fly on autopilot and the Zing Delivery box is aerodynamic and lightweight.

The Zing Drone Delivery app is currently being used to beta test the delivery system. It is compatible with every DJI drone right out of the box. It connects a drone pilot with someone they know to make a delivery they have discussed beforehand. To date, there have already been over 150 deliveries made on the app.

With a successful funding, the company’s next step is to improve the iOS app's features and functionality, develop an Android app, and improve the Zing delivery box production through contract manufacturing. In the future, Zing also hopes to lay the groundwork for eventual commercial deliveries that could enable more than 90,000 certified drone pilots to earn money using their own drones.

“Drone deliveries are convenient, quick, and eco-friendly. Cars simply can not compete with the speed and efficiency of drones,” adds Annase. “They don’t have to deal with red lights, traffic, or any other obstacles that would be encountered on the ground. Traveling as the crow flies at maximum speed gives drones a major competitive advantage.”
