Page Firearms & Training and Dee Page are pleased to announce that they now offer NRA-approved gun safety courses and Oklahoma concealed carry classes. The Oklahoma firearms training classes also include personal protection classes and advanced firearms instructor courses. The courses cover topics across a wide range related to gun usage and gun safety, as well as personal and home protection. The classes are available in several locations and can be customized according to the needs of the hosts.

The list of classes which are certified by the National Rifle Association is extensive. They include Basic Personal Protection In The Home, Basic Range Safety Officer, Basic Rifle Shooting, Home Firearm Safety, Refuse To Be A Victim®, Basic Muzzleloading Shooting, Basic Pistol Instructor, Chief Range Safety Officer, Home Firearm Safety Class Instructor, Rifle Shooting Instructor, Muzzleloading Shooting Instructor and Basic Personal Protection In The Home Instructor.

In addition to the National Rifle Association-certified courses, the school offers courses for the Oklahoma Self Defense Act (SDA) requirements, also known as Conceal Carry. This is a beginning level shooting class on how to use a firearm in a safe and legal manner. This class is the one to complete before filing for a handgun license. All active military, law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs and direct family members receive a discounted fee for the class. Completion of the eight-hour class provides Oklahoma SDA certification.

The accouterments needed for the class include eye and ear protection, suitable clothing, a ball cap and a personal handgun. The student will also need fifty rounds of factory ammo for his or her handgun and current State ID.

Another class which would be helpful is the NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home Course. This course teaches students the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home.
